Inez Bryant, 87, of McLeansboro, died at 3:50 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2001 at the Hamilton Memorial Nursing Home, McLeansboro.
She was born on January 28, 1913 in DuQuoin, Illinois, the daughter of William and Mary (Glenn) McNeal. She married George Eugene Bryant on March 6, 1934 and he preceded her in death on September 25, 1999.
Mrs. Bryant was a housewife. She was a member of the East Benton Baptist Church where she was a former church secretary and organist.
Survivors include a son, Paul E. Bryant of Ellisville, Missouri, a daughter, Mary Ann Morris of McLeansboro, three grandchildren, Cindi Cox of McLeansboro, Bryan Knight of Louisville, Kentucky, and Jennifer Scott of London, England, four great-grandchildren, a sister, Ethel Warren of Anna, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2001 in the Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Rachel Stockle and Rev. Robert Sefried officiated. Burial was in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, Edith Chancey.
