Kathyrn Adams, formerly of McLeansboro died August 4, 2001, at her home in Lakeland, Florida, following a lingering illiness.
She was born on May 20, 1914, the daughter of Harry and Nellie (Black) Sloan. Her first husband was Val "Toby" Campbell. She married Allan G. Adams on October 5, 1946; he survives. They have resided in Florida since 1951.
In addition to her husband of 55 years, she is survived by a son, Richard Campbell of Fort Myers, Florida; two daughters, Allana Jones and Deedra and husband Robert Knight all of Lakeland; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Jimi Adams and sister-in-law, Nedra Metheney of McLeansboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Martha Dee Ritchey and brother Kenneth Sloan.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
