Lola Mae Cox

Lola Mae Cox, 69, of Dahlgren, died of cancer at 6:15 a.m. on Sunday, January 28, 2001, at her residence.

She was born on September 29, 1931, in Wayne County, to Thomas and Oda Mae (Baldridge) Rainwater. She married Henry Cox on May 5, 1950, in Jefferson County, and he survives.

She had worked as a custodian at the Dahlgren School for two years.

She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Funeral service were at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2001, at Gholson Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Sefried officiated. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.

In addition to her husband, Henry Cox, she is survived by three sons, two daughters, and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a sister.
