Mary Lorraine Abbott, 88, of McLeansboro, died at 1:10 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2001, at her home.

She was born on May 9, 1912 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, the daughter of Jack and Louise Shelton.

She married Herschel Hoskins and he is deceased and then later married Herbert Abbott who also is deceased.

Funeral service were at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2001, at the funeral home. The Rev. Robert Sefried officiated. Burial was is in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in McLeansboro.

She was the widow of Herschel Hoskins and Herbert Abbott.

She is survived by three grandsons, nine great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by husbands, parents, several brothers and sisters, one daughter, Ethel Irene Roy.
