Nellie Emma (Clark) Phipps

Nellie Emma (Clark) Phipps, 91, of McLeansboro died Saturday, November 17, 2001, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital.

She had worked at Elders Manufacturing in McLeansboro and Brody Coat Factory in DeKalb. She was a Pentecostal.

Surviving are three daughters, Gloria June Tuggle of DeKalb, Vera D. Shelton of Woodlawn and Sharon Knight of Dale; a son, John Cecil of Houston; a brother, Charlie Clark of Opdyke; 20 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Cecil, in 1987, and a daughter, Betty Hanson.

Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2001 at Harre Funeral Home. Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
