Ruby Lovene Jacobs, 80, of McLeansboro died at 8:17 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2001, at her residence.

She was born on March 11, 1920 in Hamilton County, the daughter of Virgil and Edith (Prince) Oldham.

She married Charles Jacobs on February 5, 1938 in Morganfield, Kentucky and he is deceased.

Mrs. Jabobs is survived by four sons, three daughters, 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service were at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2001, at Gholson Funeral Home. The Rev. Creighton Hampton officiated. Burial was in Concord Cemetery near McLeansboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Jacobs.
