Died April 10, 2001

Thyda June Rhine, 74, of Broughton, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro of pulmonary cardiac arrest.

She had farmed and was the former owner of Rodger’s House of Flowers in McLeansboro.

She was a member of Dale Missionary Baptist Church, and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving are two daughters, Ann Rankin of McLeansboro and Mary Douglass of Broughton; four grandchildren, Amy Anselment, Kristal and Gared Douglass and Abby Rankin; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy F., in 1980 and a son, Rodger.

Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2001 at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Burial was in Hickory Hill Cemetery near Broughton.
