Violet Deloris Barker, 66, of Eldorado died on Monday, January 1, 2001 at Ferrell Hospital.

She was born on September 27, 1934 in McLeansboro, the daughter of Charles and Lilly Miller.

She is survived by four sons, Charles Barker of Eldorado, Joseph Barker of Florida, Paul Barker of Woodlawn, and Ron Barker of Mt. Vernon, and three daughters, Rebecca Barkers, Mary Moles, and Elizabeth Pittman all of Eldorado and one brother, Charles E. Miller of Mt. Vernon.

She also has 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, three sisters, and one brother.

Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2001 at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado. Dr. Randy Grace officiated. Burial was in Hickory Hill near Broughton.
