William E. “Uncle Bill” Doke

William E. “Uncle Bill” Doke, 99, of McLeansboro died Sunday, September 16, 2001, at Parkview Convalescence Center in Paducah, Kentucky.

He retired as a carpenter supervisor.

He was a member of Wickliffe (Ky.) Baptist Church, Shriners Club of St. Louis and Wickliffe Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are a brother, Dueward of Wickliffe; and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Italene (Johnson), an infant daughter and an infant son.

Funeral services were Tuesday, September 18, 2001 at Gholson Funeral Home McLeansboro Chapel. Burial was in IOOF Cemetery in McLeansboro.
